In Advanced Computer Apps, there are 16 students who work as teams, or on on individual projects. They choose the programs that they are interested in and spend weeks turning into experts in their area. They have certain time, professional, and project requirements, but otherwise the class does not look like a normal class. During this class period the students become the experts. They help other students who have questions, create amazing works of art and projects, and gain a lot of knowledge on how to learn. It is so fun to watch them become independent workers with intense goals of their own. Many of these students end up making a lot of money on the side because they become so proficient in their skill area. These students also become fierce competitors in the BPA competitions.
