On Tuesday February 5th, Danielle Oyler with the Southwest Montana Bear Education Working Group came to the HE 9 and HE 10 classes and gave us information in regards to safety in the backcountry.  The students learned how to recognize the difference in tracks/scat of animals you may encounter in the backcountry.  Also, students learned how to safely set up camp, what to do when you do encounter a bear, and lastly how to properly and safely use bear spray.  A big thank you goes out to Danielle for taking her Tuesday and joining us at Red Lodge High School to give our students great beneficial information that will help them during their spring, summer, and fall activities.
