Students got to put their statistics skills to the test by determining that there was a linear association between the number of rubber bands used and the distance that Barbie dropped. With a few trials, they were able to use the correlation between the two variables to calculate the line of best fit and predict the number of rubber bands needed to give Barbie the best thrill of her life! The winning team represented the company that offered the best jump, while still staying safe, earning Barbie’s business. (Only one Barbie was hurt in this activity.)
