During the COVID-19 closure last spring, a major transformation occurred in the high school library. The fiction collection was heavily weeded, and all remaining books were sorted into genres. After the sorting process, spine labels were color coded so that students and staff alike could easily find their favorite genres. Books were sorted into the following categories: science fiction/fantasy, romance, realistic fiction, action/adventure, mystery, graphic novels, sports, historical fiction, classics and western/regional fiction. Signs posted will help library patrons find the appropriate section. Many new titles were also purchased and categorized, and these new titles are now displayed in the library.
In addition, a conference table and chairs were added so that students and staff have a working area in the library.
You are invited to drop by the library and see the changes for yourself!
